The following explains how to submit an Internet application for each grant in the Toyota Foundation grant program.
After reading the information for applicants about each program, start the application procedure on this page. Note that Internet applications can only be submitted by those who can send and receive email via a personal computer.
Carefully follow the flow chart below for the procedures.
For more details, download the "Guide for Internet Applications." Application deadlines are as given below. Please note that the deadline for Internet applications is earlier than the one for postal applications.
| Internet application deadline: | May 7, 2010 (until 3:00 p.m., Japan Standard Time) |
|---|---|
| Postal application deadline: | May 12, 2010 (postmarked by May 12) |
How to submit

1. Registering basic information
Enter the information in the prescribed form on the page for registering basic information and click the [Confirm] button.
To stop the process at any time, click the [Cancel] button; the page will close.
After double-checking entries and clicking the [Register] button, a message will be displayed that registering of basic information has been completed. Registering of basic information is thus complete.
※Information may be edited later.
2. Email notifying of completion of registration
When your registration of basic information has been properly entered, email will be sent to the email address you have provided, notifying you of completion of registration. The email will contain the following:
- URL of a Webpage for Applicants, which will be usable only by those who have registered.
- Log-in ID and password to log in to the Webpage for Applicants.
Access the Webpage for Applicants to continue the procedure.
3. Logging in to the Webpage for Applicants
Access the Webpage for Applicants identified in the email notifying you of acceptance of your registration, and log in with the log-in ID and password.
You may do the following things on the page:
- View and edit the basic information you entered
- Download a form to submit a project proposal
- Send (upload) your proposal
- Change your log-in password
4. Editing the information and downloading a form to submit a project proposal
From the Webpage for Applicants, download a form to submit a project proposal and complete it. If you wish to change any of the basic information you have registered, do so on the page for editing registered information.
5. Sending (uploading) your proposal
When you have completed your proposal, send (upload) your proposal file from the Webpage for Applicants. In order to submit your proposal, view and designate the proposal file in your personal computer, and then send (upload) the file using a prescribed form.
Thereafter, the form can neither be resent nor replaced with a new one. Thus, before sending the proposal file, be sure to double-check that all necessary items have been completed.
Caution
Please avoid sending (uploading) your proposal file immediately before the deadline. If many applicants do the same, traffic congestion may cause your submission to be delayed.
Please send (upload) your proposal file as early as possible before the deadline.
6. Completion of application procedure
When the proposal file has been properly sent, the application procedure is complete. From then until May 31, 2010, information in your application can be viewed on this Webpage for Applicants, but neither editing of that information nor sending (uploading) another proposal file will be possible.
