Grant Projects: Activities

Mr. Daisaku Higashi, Ph.D. Candidate of British Columbia University, who has been undertaking a research project, ”Confidence Construction in Peacebuilding,” with fund from the Toyota Foundation’s Research Grant, lately produced a policy paper, “Challenges of Constructing Legitimacy in Peacebuilding :Case of Afghanistan.” The report was published from the website of United Nations Department of Peace Keeping Operations: http://www.un.org/Depts/dpko/lessons/

The policy paper, using first-hand information from intensive interviews, discusses and proposes to policy makers as to what is to be done if the peacebulding process in Afghanistan will enjoy wider trust by Afghan People.
