Mr. Takashi Shimozawa, representative of Jumma Net is conducting a project, "Creating a Peace-Building Network for the Chittagong Hill Tracts, Bangladesh" under Asian Neighbors Network. Program. This project has appeared in a Bangladesh newspaper ("The Daily Star" dated 19th and 23rd Feb).

This project summary is as follows;
One of the ethnic conflicts of Asia that has received little attention from the international community is that of the Chittagong Hill Tracts, Bangladesh. The present project will promote peace-building in the Tracts through nonviolent means by fostering broad-based networks of civil society actors and NGOs and shaping international public opinion on this issue.

Chittagong Hill Tracts Commission (CHTC), Jumma Net is a core member of the commission, has visited Bangladesh and appealed the necessity of implementation of a peace agreement to new administration of Bangladesh.
